Today is my youngest daughter Lauren's 1/2 birthday! She is 6-1/2 today. She is so excited, you would think it was her REAL birthday. Ah to be so young again that you want to even celebrate the 1/2 years. She has come so far in her time. From being born at 30 weeks weighing only 1lb 14oz to 6-1/2 years old weighing 50 lbs.

She started 1st grade this year. She loves going to school. Lauren is like a sponge. She takes everything in, learning so quickly. They are learning all kinds of things. Her teacher has so many little tricks to help them remember things. The coolest is all of the singing they do. There are all kinds of songs and chants that go with everything. For example "There is no a in they, there is no a in they, T H E Y there is no a in they". Another is "The author writes the words, the author writes the words, hi ho the dairy oh the author writes the words, The illustrator draws, the illustrator draws...". They are so catchy I find my self singing them when she is not even around.

Soccer is heading in to full swing this week. We will be spending a good portion of our time at the fields till the end of October. Lauren is becoming a great little player. She told me last night her favorite position to play is goalie. YIKES! That is my least favorite position for my girls to play. I am always so afraid they are going to get hurt.

I am going to work on being a better blogger. If for no other reason to have my memories written down for the girls when they grow older.

Tomorrow is Emily's 1/2 birthday! Tomorrow's post will be dedicated to her.

I have been following Jonah and his family for almost a year now! This family has gone through things that no family should have to ever experience. Jonah has EB. I had never heard of this disease before Jonah. The disease presents many different problems for the child and their caregivers. I am not a doctor and don't have enough knowledge about the disease to teach about it. If you want more information Please go to Johan's blog-site. Let's all do our best to support this family and DEBRA.

Thanks!
